About
Fifty years in one building, one child at a time.
New England Christian Academy opened in 1976 as a ministry of New England Baptist Church. Fifty years later we are still on Salem Street, still teaching each child at their own level.
Who we are
NECA is a Christ-centered school in Medford, Massachusetts serving students from K-4 — four-year-old kindergarten — through grade twelve. We are a ministry of New England Baptist Church and operate under the church's 501(c)(3).
Forty students. Six staff. Roughly seven students to every adult. Every child is known by name, every day.
What we believe
We teach every subject in the light of Scripture, because we believe the Bible is God's word and that every child is made in His image and worth the individual attention that takes. Daily chapel, Scripture memory, and character instruction are part of the ordinary week, not an add-on.
Fifty years, about 300 graduates
Our first class graduated in 1981. Since then roughly 300 students have finished here, and 92% of our graduates go on to college.
