- Is NECA accredited?
- NECA is an A.C.E. Merit School and a member of the American Association of Christian Schools. Colleges evaluate our applicants on academic merit and standardized test scores, and 92% of our graduates go on to college.
- How does a self-paced model work with only forty students?
- It works because of the small size. Every student is tested and placed subject by subject, sets daily goals, and works at their own desk with staff circulating. With roughly seven students per adult, nobody works unnoticed.
- What if my child is behind — or ahead?
- Placement follows ability, not birthday. A student who is ahead in math moves ahead in math. A student who needs another two weeks on fractions gets another two weeks, without repeating a whole grade.
- Do you have sports teams?
- No varsity teams. Physical education runs weekly, including ice skating, and afternoons rotate through art, STEM, woodworking, and field trips.
- Can we visit before applying?
- Yes, and we recommend it. Visits are by appointment and prospective students can shadow a full school day.
- Can my child start mid-year?
- Admissions are rolling and mid-year entry is considered case by case. Because placement is diagnostic, a student can start where they actually are rather than waiting for September.
- What does it really cost?
- $375 a month all in — $340 at the church member rate — paid over ten months, September through June. Registration is $100 per student with a $300 family maximum.
- Do you have to be a church member?
- No. Members of New England Baptist Church receive a reduced tuition rate, but the school is open to families from any church background.
- Is there before or after school care?
- No. Doors open at 8:00 and dismissal is 2:30, or 1:30 on Wednesdays.
- How do you handle special learning needs?
- The model itself is individualized, which helps many students who struggle in a lockstep classroom. We are a small school without a dedicated special education department, so the honest answer depends on the child — call us and describe the situation and we will tell you plainly whether we can serve them well.
