Getting here from Cambridge
From Cambridge the usual run is Route 16 or Massachusetts Avenue north to Alewife Brook Parkway and across into Medford, or up Somerville Avenue through Winter Hill and Medford Square to Salem Street. From North Cambridge and Porter, plan on twenty minutes in the morning; from Kendall or Central, closer to twenty-five or thirty.
Cambridge families have real options: the Red Line to Davis plus the 96 into Medford Square, or the Red Line to Harvard and the 96 the whole way. From Kendall or Central it is the Red Line to Park and the Orange Line to Sullivan, then the 101 up Salem Street. Budget 45 to 55 minutes door to door and leave Cambridge by about 7:05 to be here before 8:00.

How the school works
Your child is tested in each subject and placed where they actually are — not where their birthday says they should be. A student who needs another two weeks on fractions gets another two weeks. Nobody gets left behind and nobody gets bored.
